Yummy. Delicious.
Time and again I see such words used to describe yarn.
That is how I know that my cat friend Samantha can read. While it is true I am flabbergasted, I simply accept that cats are amazing.
I was knitting away on an Odessa hat. I was using the recommended Rowan Cashsoft DK yarn, in black.
It can be said that Samantha, a black & white kitty, has an appreciation for color. She favors red and does not hesitate to point out this color, get it out in the open, share the intense hue with those she’s closest to.
I like Samantha very much. And I am careful with her, knowing how easily she takes fright, seemingly out of the blue. When she becomes afraid, I am fair game to the formidable force of her claws. Is this cat ever quick on the claw.
I felt slightly nervous as Samantha neared to check on Odessa’s progress. I was really hoping I could knit a little more.
If I had a toy handy I could lure Samantha further off and…that’s it, the yarn! I sliced off a generous helping of the Cashsoft. This is great. She’s hopping off the bed onto the rug.
Samantha wants to play!
No. Wait a minute. Samantha, in fact, does not want to play.
For it was a yummy yarn. She ate it all up.
