Negligent, that’s what I would be. If I didn’t make a Kitty Pi bed, I could have a whole lot of explaining to do.
A sale on Big Kureyon yarn at Little Knits helped nudge me in the right direction.
Chances were good at least one cat would like the bed. It seemed safe to presume if one cat liked it, then another would too. And how many more?
If I only made one Kitty Pi bed, I may well have a lot of explaining to do. I could be making lots of these beds! Yet what if I wasn’t any good at it? I decided to begin with two.
What a nice pattern! I liked using Big Kureyon yarn. It was fun seeing which color would appear next and how the stripes formed.
Before felting, I stored the knitted beds-to-be on some couch pillows.


The beds started off indoors and ended up outdoors.

Now it’s Bijou & Samantha in the Kitty Pi beds.

I’m glad to see Beatrice in a Kitty Pi bed. It’s rare that she sleeps indoors.
