I was having trouble accessing this, my blog. I called and asked my sister to see if she could view it. She could. During our phone conversation, she saw the photo of my Catherine the Great top.

“What’s that?” she asked. “It’s beautiful!” she declared.

Oh dread, not a compliment, that’s not what I wanted to hear! Hadn’t I already decided to send Catherine to the frog pond? Indeed. Now what? How easily my so-called decisions unravel. My sister’s opinion in this has weight to it. Plus, I am decidedly not enjoying the knitting of Laurel Seamless Cardigan.

The knitting of Green Gable is finished. The lace panel went smoothly. After all the increases, I was only too glad when I had less stitches after dividing for the arms. I rapidly finished knitting the sleeves before all the knitting for the body. The pattern instructions were easy to follow. Green Gable is straighforward and simple to knit. I will definitely make another.

I could have tried on Green Gable as I went since it’s a top-down knit. Only I didn’t want to bother. Maybe I was afraid to find out if anything was amiss. That is foolish, I know, but there you have it. I have seen photos of other knitters sporting their finished Green Gables. By and large it looks flattering on them. By and large, Green Gable is not so flattering on me. Let’s just say the upper portion is somewhat roomy.

If only I knew where I’ve put Green Gable, then I could take a photo. For now, here is Clark Gable who may provide a more pleasing view.
