It is so easy to order yarn online. It is so difficult to order yarn online. I may have a plan, a project, a specific yarn in mind. But no, I cannot simply order it and be on my way. For inevitably I become diverted by other yarns which beckon to me with their own special appeal. And there is no shortage of yarns to be distracted by. It’s wonderful. It’s terrible. I am cursed with yarn greed!

On numerous occasions I’ve looked longingly at the website of Camilla Valley Farm. I find it very helpful how they’ve ‘kitted’ the items from the booklets they sell. Today I did it. Applying all of my rudimentary powers of concentration, I focused only on Lopi-Lite yarn and I placed my first order with CVF.

Look what I hope to make my sister for Christmas!

I hope to make the matching bag for my sister’s 12-12 birthday. So she’ll get the bag, then the sweater! It would be fun to try the bag with different color schemes too. I’m looking forward to casting on.
