Ah, good. I think Spice approves of the latest scarf!
It’s taken a while! I got this yarn at Stitches West back in February.
It is Fourplay from Brooks Farm. There was a knitted sample of the
scarf on display in their booth. It was so nice! Alas, they were out of
that particular color scheme. I chose this, which I liked less. I don’t
like many variegated yarns, even with a yarn I love like Malabrigo.
They are almost okay, then I find areas that don’t blend together
well when knitted up. This Fourplay yarn is different. The colors
always look pretty to me! It was a pleasure seeing them as I knit.
Here is the simple pattern I followed.

I took Oliver to the Vet’s. I was worried about my Little Leopard.

Roughly between his nose and the start of his whiskers was a swollen
lump. Possibly, it was related to the removal of his fang last month.
I had to do it. I had to take him to the Vet’s. It’s one of those unavoidable
difficult things for me. I suppose I over-identify with the cats’ fears and
distresses. Even if it’s for Oliver’s own good, I can’t get that through to him!

I feel terrible for subjecting him to confinement, taking him away from
his home, putting him in an environment of noisy cars, then noisy dogs.
Even if I pet him and talk to him during the car ride and in the waiting
room, I’m probably as uneasy as he is. My threshold for tolerating the
cats’ troubles is so very low!

We’re home now, and Oliver is well, and he’s not holding a grudge against me!
Oh, do I ever feel better. For one thing, Oliver is okay. He’s still healing from the tooth extraction. I’ll keep an eye on the gum and the swelling to make sure it’s going in the right direction, not worsening. For another thing, the ordeal of the visit is behind us.
