Keren Ann is my favorite singer right now. She just is. I’m not so keen on going to concerts these days. Except, I thought, one person I would be tickled to see and hear in person is Keren Ann. And heavens no, I do not like being tickled!

I did a search on the off chance she might be on tour. I didn’t even realize she has a new cd out. Some fan I am! I could scarcely believe my eyes. Not only was she on tour, she was performing in SF in eighteen hours time. Bah, it must be too late to get tickets.

Ah, it was not too late to get tickets.

I like Keri Russell, even if I think of her as Felicity Porter. Felicity was a TV show she starred in. I hadn’t seen her in anything else.

Now I’ve seen Waitress. I already want to see it again. Do see it.

I cannot help but feel emotional about the movie, having learned of what happened to Adrienne Shelly. Adrienne Shelly wrote the movie, directed the movie, and was in the movie as one of the three waitresses. She helped with the set and costume designs. She composed a song for the soundtrack, and her own little girl has a cameo in the final scene.

And now Adrienne Shelly is dead. In November, someone killed her.
