Basil Aloysius

I’m glad to say Basil is still in the neighborhood and I occasionally get to see him and spoil him with catnip. He looks healthy and well fed. He has never wanted food.

Basil’s home used to be with me. I trapped him and took him for surgery and vaccinations. The other cats were not very nice to him though, and would chase him away. I reserved special places inside where he could dine and sleep. After a year or so, I didn’t see him every day.

Now Basil is adorned with a bright pink flea collar and is being called Priscilla by a neighbor. That’s okay if he’s comfortable and cared for. He’s a wonderful & strikingly handsome male cat, in any color and with any name. Basil’s sister Lulu, incidentally, is called Elvis by this neighbor. I had a good laugh at that! It’s because of ‘his sideburns’.
